TV Frame Manufacture / Installation
We sell frames for wall, ceiling, or cart mounted flat-panel televisions. Our frames are not manufactured for use on rear-projection TVs, projector screens, DLP TVs, or tube (non-flat panel) televisions. Frames will work with any mount that attaches to the back of the TV (allowing room around each side of the TV for the frame). Please ensure that your mount can support approximately 20 pounds of additional weight. ![]()
The rigid, fabric covered matting exactly covers the border of the TV, without overlapping any portion of the actual visible screen. If the border of the TV is larger at the bottom, the mat will be larger at the bottom also. The mat covers the logo and gives a finished look. It is IR transparent, which allows remote control signals to pass through. The mat will not block sound from built-in speakers, or voice control on TV's equipped with this feature. Some TVs have a front facing camera for gesture control of the TV (raising your arm to raise the volume). The mat DOES cover the camera, and will disable gesture control. Some of our clients prefer the mat covering the camera, out of privacy concerns.
No, TV mirrors look great when the TV is off, but when the TV is turned on, they dramatically alter the brightness and contrast of the image and increase reflection on the screen. Most people will not be happy with how the TV looks from behind a mirror - it is similar to viewing the image through sunglasses. If you decide to purchase a TV mirror from another vendor, we strongly recommend that you get a sample and test it first.
You just remove the frame from the shipping container, slip it over the TV, and attach the mounting straps around the back of the TV. No tools are required - just a friend. You will not need to un-mount the TV from the wall. The frame attaches to the TV rather than the wall. For more information, please see the TV Frame Installation Page
The majority of TVs we frame have a larger bottom border or bezel. The matting is cut to the exact dimensions of your TV model, and the mat covers the entire border, while not overlapping any portion of the actual screen. Where the border is slightly wider, the mat will be slightly wider.
It varies based on the frame you choose. Choose your TV model and hold your mouse over each frame option. The zoom window will list the required distance from the wall to the front of the TV - this is how much of the side is covered. Allowing at least this distance is important to allow ventilation of the TV. As the frames are larger than the TV, you will not typically see any exposed side area of the television.
Many TVs have a bottom border that is larger toward the center. This is no problem - the frame just goes straight across the outside bottom of the TV, and the mat covers the bottom TV border completely, including any slight space on the bottom between the frame and the TV on each side. There will be no gaps.
Our frames are hand made in Austin, Texas by experienced custom framers. The frame is cut to the exact specifications of your TV model number. All corners are hand fitted and professionally filled to eliminate gaps. We use only the best, museum quality woods to create finely crafted frames, including hardwoods from Larson-Juhl - the premier manufacturer of frame molding. ![]()
Each frame is custom made to your specifications. Please allow 2-3 weeks for manufacture and delivery. It may take a bit longer in certain circumstances or for very large TVs. Please allow 6 weeks for manufacture and delivery outside of the Continental United States. We make every effort to get your frame to you as quickly as possible.
Many of our customers have recessed TVs. The frames are open in the back, however there must be room in the recessed opening for the width of the frame around the entire TV, while maintaining space for ventilation. Position your mouse over the frame options to see the width of each frame.
Yes, the mat used to cover the bezel (border) of your television (and any logos, etc) will not block remote control signals or sound from built in speakers. Any buttons, cable inputs, or built in DVD players on the side of your television will most likely be obstructed by the frame.
Yes, there is no back to the frame, as it just attaches to the TV rather than the wall or the mount. The frame will just move out along with the TV. You should move the TV out by pressing on the back of the television rather than by holding the frame.
Yes, as a border around the TV, the frame will be angled also. The width of the frame must also have the necessary clearance to the wall. For example, choose your TV model and place the mouse over the frame choices. Let's say the frame you choose is 3 inches wide and requires 1 inch from the wall to the front of the TV, and your TV tilts slightly downward (closer to the wall at the bottom, which is fairly common). Measuring 3 inches below your TV, there needs to be at least 1 inch of space to the wall. ![]()

Frames are designed to fit televisions without optional sound bars or speaker bars. Any removable accessories such as sound or speaker bars must be removed before framing. If you would like to create a custom frame to accommodate optional accessories, please contact us.
Yes, the mounting straps are designed to hold frames securely to TVs mounted in landscape and portrait mode. Frame Details / Questions
Sometimes manufacturers use different codes at the end of the model number to indicate cabinet color or where the TV is sold. These frames are the same dimensions and exactly the same for framing purposes. For example, the Samsung UN55ES8000 and UN55ES8000F have identical dimensions. You can choose either online for the correct size. We also send a measurement verification sheet upon order to double check the exact size of the television. We can frame virtually any flat panel TV. If your model number is not listed at all, select Custom TV Frame, and enter your TV model number.
No, the frames are not meant for hanging on an outdoor television.
Position your mouse over the frame choice and an information box will list the width of each frame. This is the approximate amount that the frame will add to each side of the TV (and the top and bottom).
We can frame any size flat panel TV from 15" to 85". If you do not see your TV, select Custom TV Frame and enter your TV model number. Please contact us for frames over 65" to arrange shipping.

Yes. Please contact us with your TV model.
The back of the frame is open, exposing the back of the TV and the mounting straps that attach the frame to the TV. The sides of the frame are finished and the back face of the wood molding (against the wall) is raw wood. This is designed to allow adequate ventilation. Shipping / Billing
